Prof. dr. B. Hommel is hoogleraar in de Algemene Psychologie. Hij heeft psychologie literatuurwetenschappen gestudeerd aan de Bielefeld Universiteit (Duitsland). Hij geeft onderwijs over humane aandacht, emotie en cognitie, cognitieve neurowetenschap en actie controle. Zijn onderzoeksbelangstelling betreft feature integration in perceptie en actie, de interactie van perceptie, aandacht en actie, ontwikkeling van actiecontrole, executieve functies, en cognitieve robotica.
