Sasja Huisman werkt als Universitair Docent aan de afdeling Klinische, Gezondheids- en Neuropsychologie. Zij doet onderzoek naar zelfregulatie bij chronische ziekten, met specifieke aandacht voor diabetes mellitus. Tevens geeft zij in de Master Health Psychology hoorcolleges en werkgroepen over psychologische assessment en behandeling van chronische ziekten. Ook is zij als cognitief gedragstherapeut betrokken bij de psychologische behandeling van diabetes patienten in het LUMC.
