Emma ter Mors studeerde (cum laude) af in de Sociale- en Organisatiepsychologie aan de Universiteit Leiden (1999-2003). Na haar studie begon Emma als promovendus binnen de sectie Sociale en Organisatiepsychologie van Universiteit Leiden (september 2004-september 2008). Onder begeleiding van Dr. Mieneke Weenig, Prof. Dr. Naomi Ellemers en Dr. Dancker Daamen onderzocht zij de invloed van bronpercepties op de selectie, verwerking en acceptatie van complexe informatie over een nieuwe CO2 afvang transport en opvang (CCS) technologie. Na afronding van haar proefschrift getiteld “Dealing with information about complex issues: The role of source perceptions” is Emma werkzaam geweest als docent bij deze vakgroep (september 2008-januari 2009). Momenteel houdt Emma zich in de functie van post-doc onderzoeker bezig met vervolgonderzoek naar publieke perceptie en acceptatie van CCS technologie (januari 2009-heden).

Mijn onderzoek richt zich op factoren die van invloed (kunnen) zijn op de publieke perceptie en de mate van acceptatie van CCS technologie.
